Methods and apparatus for transmitting vibrations via an electronic and/or transducer assembly (16) through a tooth or teeth (12) are disclosed herein. The assembly (16) may be attached, adhered, or otherwise embedded into or upon a removable oral appliance (18) to form a hearing aid assembly (14). Such an oral appliance may be a custom-made device. The electronic and transducer assembly (16) may receive incoming sounds either directly or through a receiver to process and amplify the signals and transmit the processed sounds via a vibrating transducer element coupled to a tooth or other bone structure, such as the maxillary, mandibular, or palatine bone structure.

La présente invention divulgue des procédés et des appareils de transmission de vibrations par un ensemble électronique et/ou de transducteur par l'intermédiaire d'une ou de plusieurs dents. L'ensemble peut être fixé, collé ou incorporé d'une autre manière dans ou sur un appareil oral amovible de manière à former un ensemble de prothèse auditive. Ledit appareil oral peut être un dispositif taillé sur mesure. L'ensemble électronique et de transducteur peut recevoir les sons entrants, directement ou par l'intermédiaire d'un récepteur, pour traiter et amplifier les signaux et transmettre des sons traités via un élément de transducteur vibrant couplé à une dent ou à une autre structure osseuse, par exemple la structure osseuse du maxillaire, des mandibules ou du palais.
