Abstract

The invention relates to a luminous device, in particular an illuminated sign, comprising at least one white LED having a luminous flux of greater than 3 Lm, advantageously greater than 5 Lm, preferably greater than 10 Lm and even more preferably greater than 50 Lm, and to a cover made of a transparent plastic in which scattering particles with a content of 0.3 to 5%, preferably 0.3 to 4%, are dispersed, and having, when the LED is off, a luminosity L of less than 40, preferably less than 35, and when the LED is lit, a luminosity L of greater than 55, an a* value of between -7.5 and +7.5 and a b* value of between -7.5 and +7.5. The scattering particles may be of organic nature. In which case they may be polyamide or PTFE particles, methyl-methacrylate-based crosslinked particles, crosslinked styrene-based particles or silicone particles. The scattering particles may be of mineral nature. In this case they may be BaSO4, Ti02, ZnO, CaCO3, MgO or AI2O3 particles or hollow glass microspheres .

Dispositif lumineux, en particulier signe illuminé, qui comprend au moins une DEL blanche à flux lumineux dépassant 3 Lm, de préférence dépassant 5 Lm, de préférence encore dépassant 10 Lm, et même de préférence enfin dépassant 50 Lm, et couvercle en plastique transparent dans lequel sont dispersées des particules de diffusion selon une teneur comprise entre 0,3 et 5 %, de préférence entre 0,3 et 4 %, pour une luminosité, lorsque la DEL est éteinte, inférieure à 40, de préférence à 35, et lorsque la DEL est allumée, supérieure à 55, et pour une valeur a* comprise entre -7,5 et +7,5 et une valeur b* comprise entre 7,5 et +7,5. Les particules peuvent être de nature organique, et il peut alors s'agir de particules de polyamide ou de PTFE, de particules réticulées à base de méthyle-méthacrylate, de particules réticulées à base de styrène ou de particules de silicone. Les particules de diffusion peuvent être de nature minérale. Dans ce cas, il peut s'agir de particules de BaSO4, Ti02, ZnO, CaCO3, MgO ou de AI2O3 ou bien encore de microsphères de verre creuses.
