Abstract:
(EN) A shape memory alloy (SMA) actuator made from tubular structures is disclosed. The current invention is a tubular monolithic SMA actuator made from a tubular monolithic SMA substrate of NiTi, CuAlNi, CuAl, CuZnAl, TiV, or TiNb. The tubular monolithic SMA actuator has a first end, a second end and a middle portion, and can be made out or a substrate with a cross-section shape such as a circle, an ellipse, a rectangle or any irregular shape. The middle portion is formed into an actuator pattern that maintains unity and electrical continuity, along the path of the actuator pattern, with the first end and second end. The actuator pattern can be any number of patterns, for example, a Greek key pattern or a zigzag pattern. A first electrode is optionally formed in the first end and a second electrode is formed in the second end of the tubular monolithic SMA actuator.
(FR) Un actionneur en alliage à mémoire de forme (SMA) formé à partir de structure tubulaires est décrit. L'invention concerne un actionneur SMA monolithique tubulaire fabriqué dans un substrat SMA monolithique tubulaire de NiTi, CuAlNi, CuAl, CuZnAl, TiV, ou TiNb. L'actionneur SMA monolithique tubulaire possède une première extrémité, une seconde extrémité et une partie médiane, et peut être fabriqué à partir d'un substrat possédant une section circulaire, elliptique, rectangulaire ou de forme irrégulière quelle qu'elle soit. La partie médiane se présente sous la forme d'un motif d'actionneur qui maintient l'unité et la continuité électrique, le long du trajet du motif de l'actionneur, avec les première et seconde extrémités. Le motif de l'actionneur peut être formé d'un certain nombre de motifs, par exemple, un motif de grecque ou en zigzag. Une première électrode est éventuellement formée dans la première extrémité et une seconde électrode est formée dans la seconde extrémité de l'actionneur SMA monolithique tubulaire.
