The invention relates to a fibre-optic measurement device (10) comprising a SAGNAC ring interferometer (20) having its own frequency fp, a detector (14) and a modulation chain (30) generating a phase-shift modulation ϕm(t) between the two counter-propagating waves (24, 25) propagating in the ring interferometer. The invention aims to reduce measurement faults due to the linearity defects in the modulation chain of such a measurement device with optical fibre. For said reason, the invention provides a fibre-optic measurement device reducing the amplitude of the phase-shift modulation ϕm(t) which is the sum of a first biasing phase-shift modulation component ϕb1(t) and a first counter-reaction phase-shift modulation component ϕcr1(t), said phase-shift modulation ϕm(t) falling or rising by twice the amplitude of the first biasing phase-shift modulation component ϕb1(t). The invention also relates to a rate gyro comprising such a measurement device and to an inertial stabilisation or navigation unit including at least one such rate gyro.

L'invention concerne un dispositif (10) de mesure à fibre optique comportant un interféromètre en anneau (20) de SAGNAC de fréquence propre fp, un détecteur (14) et une chaîne de modulation (30) générant une modulation de déphasage ϕm(t) entre les deux ondes contra-propagatives (24, 25) se propageant dans l'interféromètre en anneau. Le but de l'invention est de réduire les défauts de mesure dus aux non-linéarités de la chaîne de modulation d'un tel dispositif de mesure à fibre optique. Pour cela, l'invention propose un dispositif de mesure à fibre optique réduisant l'amplitude de la modulation de déphasage ϕm(t) qui est la somme d'une première composante de modulation de déphasage de mise au biais ϕb1(t) et d'une première composante de modulation de déphasage de contre-réaction ϕcr1(t), cette modulation de déphasage ϕm(t) retombant ou remontant de deux fois l'amplitude de la première composante de modulation de déphasage de mise au biais ϕb1(t). L'invention concerne également un gyromètre comportant un tel dispositif de mesure et une centrale de navigation ou de stabilisation inertielle comportant au moins un tel gyromètre.
