A voltage controlled oscillator circuit with a high power supply rejection ratio is described. The oscillator circuit incorporates a clamping transistor with respect to each output terminal which limits the signal swing of the output terminal. The limited voltage swing allows relatively large movements in the power supply and ground voltages without causing significant changes in the frequency of the output signals. Such an oscillator circuit may be incorporated into an integrated circuit characterized by noisy power supply and ground conductors. Additionally, multiple delayed versions of the output frequency may be created using a level shifter circuit and a buffer circuit. The oscillator circuit is relatively quick to react to changes in the controlling voltage, adjusting the oscillation frequency in a relatively short time interval.

Cette invention concerne un circuit d'oscillateur commandé en tension qui possède un taux élevé d'atténuation de la source d'alimentation. Ce circuit d'oscillateur comporte un transistor de fixation de niveau à chaque borne de sortie, lequel limite l'excursion du signal de ladite borne de sortie. Cette excursion de tension limitée permet d'effectuer des mouvements relativement importants dans les tensions de la source d'alimentation et à la masse, sans engendrer pour autant des modifications importantes dans la fréquence des signaux de sortie. Un circuit d'oscillateur de ce type peut être incorporé dans un circuit intégré qui possède des conducteurs d'alimentation et de masse bruyants. Il est également possible de créer plusieurs versions temporisées de la fréquence de sortie à l'aide d'un circuit de décalage de niveau et d'un circuit tampon. Ce circuit d'oscillateur réagit relativement rapidement aux modifications de la tension de commande, ajustant la fréquence d'oscillation dans un intervalle de temps relativement court.
