A pivoting door type thrust reverser assembly for a dual flow engine is described, which includes a fixed cowling construction with a front body portion (9) and a rear body portion (12) joined by longitudinal beams (10, 11) and defining reversal chambers in each of which a door (7) is pivotably received. The door pivot pins (17) are carried by two pairs of chords (15, 16) such that the pivot pins are spaced from the engine axis X-X'. This arrangement provides for an efficient deviation of the cold flow and for the maximum opening of the doors.

L'invention concerne un ensemble d'inverseur de poussée pour moteur à double flux du type à portes basculantes. L'ensemble d'inverseur comporte une structure fixe de capotage constituée d'un avant-corps (9) et d'un arrière-corps (12) rendus solidaires par des poutres longitudinales (10, 11) et délimitant deux puits d'inversion dans chacun desquels est logée de façon basculante une porte (7). Les pivots (17) de portes sont portés par deux paires de membrures (15, 16) telles que les pivots sont situés à un niveau éloigné de l'axe du moteur X-X'. Cette disposition permet d'assurer une déviation efficace du flux froid et une ouverture maximale des portes.
