Claims

1. Method of operating a weft thread distributor apparatus of a series shed weaving machine comprising a supply nozzle (1) and an injector nozzle (2) which blows a weft thread (9) contrary to the direction of rotation (7) of a weaving rotor (8) into a connection channel (3) between a spatially fixed ring part (11) and a weaving rotor (8), with the weft thread being deflected out of the connection channel (3) into a shoot-in tube (4) and after its insertion being clamped and cut off behind the shoot-in tube (4) when viewed in the direction of insertion, in order to suck back a new weft thread tip which has arisen in this way and to blow it contrary to the direction of rotation (7) of the weaving rotor (8) into a further shoot-in tube (4'), characterised in that, when viewed in the direction of insertion, first a cutting device (5) and then a clamping device (6) are arranged spatially following the shoot-in tube (4); and in that,when viewed time-wise, a retraction force (15) is already present in the connection channel (3) prior to the clamping of the weft thread (9) and assists the braking in the clamping device (6) and prevents the formation of a loop between the shoot-in tube (4) and the clamping device during the cutting.
  2. Apparatus for carrying out the method of claim 1 characterised in that the transition from the connection channel (3) into the shoot-in tube (4) takes place via an inclined stripper shoulder (10) which forms an obtuse angle (12) with a partition plane (13) between the spatially fixed ring (11) and the weaving rotor (8).
  3. Apparatus for carrying out the method of claim 1 characterised in that the connection channel (3) is cut into both sides of the partition plane (13) in the spatially fixed ring (11) and in the weaving rotor (8), with a cut out groove (14) being present in the weaving rotor over the entire periphery with the exception of the region of the stripper shoulders (10).
  4. Apparatus in accordance with one of the claims 2 or 3 characterised in that at least one further additional nozzle (16) is arranged in the spatially fixed ring outside of a pocket (21) from the connection channel (3) and opposite to the direction of rotation (7) and likewise blows into the cut out groove (14) contrary to the direction of rotation (7) in order to assist the thread transport into the shoot-in tubes (4, 4') that are rotating past it.
  5. Apparatus for carrying out the method in accordance with claim 1 characterised by a rotary gate (23) which has a fixed reduction ratio relative to the weaving rotor (20) and which feeds compressed air for the injector nozzles or additional nozzles (2, 16) from a compressed air supply line (30) via a rotating aperture (41) into pulse feed lines (31) placed behind the aperture (41), with each of the pulse feed lines (31) being led to one of the injector nozzles (2) or additional nozzles (16) mounted on the spatially fixed ring part (11).
  6. Apparatus in accordance with claim 5 characterised in that the pulse feed lines (31) begin with cut-outs (43) arranged uniformly on a circle after the rotating aperture (43) in the direction of flow.
