(EN) The present invention relates to an optical switch (30) by means of which wavelength multiplexed optical signals ($g(l)1-$g(l)n) can be switched in an optically uninterrupted fashion through the switch. The switch is transparent to the bit rate and code format of the optical signals and comprises groups of a number (n) of tunable optical wavelength filters (39A1-39An...39n1-39nN), preferably tunable laser amplifiers. Control means (40) control the setting of the tunable wavelength filters as well as the settings of optical switching elements (45A-45N) so as to prevent two identical wavelengths from appearing simultaneously at the input and output links.
(FR) Cette invention concerne un commutateur optique (30) à l'aide duquel on peut commuter selon un mode optiquement continu des signaux ($g(l)1, $g(l)n) optiques de longueur d'ondes multiplexées. Le commutateur est transparent au débit binaire et au format de code des signaux optiques et comprend des groupes formés de plusieurs (n) filtres de longueurs d'ondes accordables (39A1-39An...39n1-39nN), de préférence des amplificateurs laser accordables. Un système de commande (40) commande la mise au point des filtres de longueurs d'ondes accordables ainsi que les réglages des éléments de commutation optique (45A-45N) de manière à empêcher deux longueurs d'ondes identiques d'apparaître simultanément au niveau des circuits d'entrée et de sortie.
