(EN) The invention relates to a portable on-line fluid contamination monitor. Means (411, 411') are provided for connecting the monitor to a fluid circuit and means (2) for withdrawing fluid from the circuit. Optical means (4) are used to view the fluid withdrawn from the circuit and to determine the level of contamination by observation of the particles therein, the optical means viewing the fluid through a window (42) by means of a light source (45) disposed to project light through the window and the fluid. A light sensor (47) disposed on the opposite side of the window from the light source is arranged to detect particles in the fluid passing across the window by sensing the degree of light obscuration caused by particles in the fluid.
(FR) L'invention se rapporte à un moniteur de contamination de fluides du type en ligne et portatif, qui comprend des organes (411, 411') permettant de relier le moniteur à un circuit de fluide, ainsi qu'un organe (2) servant à prélever du fluide du circuit. Un organe optique (4) est utilisé pour inspecter le fluide prélevé du circuit et pour déterminer le niveau de contamination du fluide par observation des particules qu'il contient, l'organe optique inspectant le fluide à travers une fenêtre (42) au moyen d'un source lumineuse (45) projetant de la lumière à travers la fenêtre et le fluide. Un capteur de lumière (47) placé sur le côté opposé de la fenêtre par rapport à la source lumineuse sert à détecter la présence de particules dans le fluide traversant la fenêtre, en détectant le degrés d'obscurcissement lumineux causé par la présence de particules dans le fluide.
