Abstract:
(EN) The unit has an input unit for connecting to a power source (11), and a phase differential control unit (16) for controlling the power factor at the input and for maintaining a desired relationship between the output voltage and current. The unit further includes a heater control unit (17) for providing heater voltage when starting the lamps (12) and for disconnecting the heater voltage when the lamps are on. A lamp starting unit (18) is provided to alternatively apply full voltage across a single lamp and then apply full voltage across all lamps in series until all lamps are on. Finally, a disconnected lamp sensor and current limiter unit (19) is provided to detect when one or more lamps are electrically disconnected and to respond by limiting the current that may pass through the output unit (14) to thereby protect persons working with the unit.
(FR) L'unité comporte une unité d'entrée à connecter à une alimentation électrique (11) et une unité de commande de déphasage (16) pour réguler le facteur de puissance à l'entrée et maintenir une relation désirée entre la tension de sortie et le courant. L'unité comporte en outre une unité de commande de chauffage (17) pour fournir une tension de chauffage lors de l'amorçage des lampes (12) et pour déconnecter la tension de chauffage lorsque les lampes sont allumées. Une unité d'amorçage de lampe (18) est prévue afin d'appliquer alternativement la tension complète à une seule lampe puis d'appliquer la tension complète à toutes les lampes en série jusqu'à ce que toutes les lampes soient allumées. Finalement, une unité de détection de lampes déconnectées et de limitation de courant (19) est prévue pour détecter si une ou plusieurs lampes sont électriquement déconnectées et pour répondre par une limitation du courant pouvant traverser l'unité de sortie (14) afin de protéger les personnes travaillant avec l'unité.
