(EN) Systems and methods for providing deeper knee flexion capabilities, more physiologic load bearing and improved patellar tracking for knee prosthesis patients. Such systems and methods include (i) adding more articular surface to the antero-proximal posterior condyles of a femoral component, including methods to achieve that result, (ii) modifications to the internal geometry of the femoral component and the associated femoral bone cuts with methods of implantation, (iii) asymmetrical tibial components that have an unique articular surface that allows for deeper knee flexion than has previously been available and (iv) asymmetrical femoral condyles that result in more physiologic loading of the joint and improved patellar tracking.
(FR) L'invention porte sur des systèmes et des procédés permettant des capacités de flexion de genou plus importantes, plus de support de poids physiologique et un suivi patellaire amélioré pour des patients munis de prothèse de genou. De tels systèmes et procédés comprennent (i) l'ajout de plus d'une surface articulaire aux condyles postérieurs antéro-proximaux du composant fémoral, comprenant des procédés pour obtenir ce résultat, (ii) des modifications à la géométrie interne du composant fémoral et des sections de l'os fémoral associées avec des procédés d'implantation, (iii) des composants asymétriques tibiaux qui ont une surface articulaire unique qui permet une flexion plus importante du genou que ce qui était précédemment possible, et (iv) des condyles fémoraux asymétriques qui conduisent à plus de charges physiologique de l'articulation et à un suivi patellaire amélioré.
