A method of controlling a passive matrix display having rows and columns of pixels including receiving an input image signal; determining drive signals for at least a first image field and a second image field; calculating a value that is correlated to a change in the total capacitive charge of the pixels that will occur between the display of the first image field and the second image field for at least one column of the passive-matrix, electro-luminescent display; adjusting at least one of the drive signals within first or second image fields to compensate for the change in total capacitive charge; and providing adjusted drive signals for each pixel.

L'invention concerne un procédé de contrôle d'un affichage à matrice passive muni de rangées et de colonnes de pixels. Le procédé consiste à recevoir un signal d'image d'entrée; déterminer des signaux d'entraînement pour au moins une première zone d'image et une seconde zone d'image; calculer une valeur mise en corrélation avec un changement de la charge capacitive totale des pixels qui va survenir entre l'affichage de la première zone d'image et de la seconde zone d'image pour au moins une colonne de l'affichage électroluminescent à matrice passive; ajuster au moins un des signaux d'entraînement dans des première ou seconde zones d'image pour compenser le changement de charge capacitive totale; et fournir des signaux d'entraînement ajustés pour chaque pixel.
