Abstract

The present invention relates to a flame retardant polymer composition comprising (A) a polyethylene, (B) a silicone-group containing compound, (C) an inorganic filler material, and (D) a polypropylene in an amount of 0.1 to 10 wt.% with respect to the total composition, to an article comprising said flame retardant polymer composition, in particular to a wire or cable comprising a layer made of said flame retardant composition and to the use of said flame retardant polymer composition for the production of a layer of a wire or cable. Furthermore, the invention relates to the use of a propylene heterophasic copolymer comprising a polypropylene homo- or copolymer as matrix polymer and an incorporated ethylene-propylene- rubber as a processing aid..

Настоящее изобретение относится к огнестойкой полимерной композиции, содержащей (А) полиэтилен с полярными группами, (Б) соединение, содержащее кремнийорганическую группу, (В) неорганический наполнитель и (Г) пропиленовый гетерофазный сополимер, содержащий гомополимер или сополимер полипропилена в качестве матричного полимера и включенный в него этиленпропиленовый каучук, в количестве от 0,1 до 4 мас.% от общей массы композиции, к изделию, содержащему указанную огнестойкую полимерную композицию, в частности к проводу или кабелю, содержащему слой, изготовленный из указанной огнестойкой полимерной композиции, и к применению указанной огнестойкой полимерной композиции для производства слоя провода или кабеля. Кроме того, изобретение относится к применению пропиленового гетерофазного сополимера, содержащего гомополимер или сополимер полипропилена в качестве матричного полимера и включенный в него этиленпропиленовый каучук, в качестве добавки, облегчающей технологическую обработку композиции.
