Abstract

In einem thermochemischen Verfahren wird in einem Ofen ein Synthesegas mit Sauerstoff unter Entstehung eines heißen Abgases verbrannt. Das Abgas wird anschließend in die Umgebung abgeführt, während die innere Energie des Abgases zumindest teilweise zur Durchführung einer Reformierungsreaktion eingesetzt wird. Dazu wird Wasserdampf zusammen mit einem kohlenwasserstoffhaltigen Brennstoff und einem sauerstoffhaltigen Gas einem Reformer zugeführt und in einer endothermen Reaktion zu Synthesegas, unter Nutzung von innerer Energie des Abgases, umgesetzt. Die Wärme des Abgases wird dabei insbesondere dazu genutzt, Wasser zu verdampfen und im überhitzten Zustand dem Reformer zuzuführen. Das Synthesegas wird anschließend als Brennstoff dem Ofen zugeführt. Durch die Erfindung wird der Zustrom von unerwünschten Bestandteilen der Ofenatmosphäre, insbesondere von Schwefelverbindungen, in den Reformer unterbunden. embedded image
