Die Erfindung betrifft ein computerimplementiertes Verfahren zum Bestimmen einer Eigenschaft einer Maschine, insbesondere einer Werkzeugmaschine, ohne messtechnisches Erfassen der Eigenschaft, mit den folgenden Verfahrensschritten: - Erfassen einer oder mehrerer erster Zeitreihen einer oder mehrerer physikalischer Messgrößen der Maschine; - Detektieren von Veränderungsstellen in der oder den ersten Zeitreihen; - Extrahieren von Mustersequenz-Instanzen aus den ersten Zeitreihen basierend auf den detektierten Veränderungsstellen; - Erzeugen mehrerer Mustersequenz-Klassen in Abhängigkeit von den extrahierten Mustersequenz-Instanzen; - Ermitteln mindestens einer Kenngröße mehrerer Mustersequenz-Instanzen derselben Mustersequenz-Klasse und eines zeitlichen Verlaufs der Kenngröße; - Bestimmen einer Eigenschaft einer Maschine anhand der ermittelten Kenngröße und/oder anhand des zeitlichen Verlaufs der ermittelten Kenngröße. embedded image
