Abstract

Bereitgestellt wird ein autonomes oder halbautonomes Fahrzeug, das in der Lage ist, sich selbst abzubremsen, ohne dass ein Fahrer das Bremspedal herunterdrückt. Das Fahrzeug weist einen Antriebsstrang auf, der einen Verbrennungsmotor, ein Getriebe und einen Elektromotor mit einer verbundenen Batterie beinhaltet, um Nutzbremsfähigkeiten bereitzustellen. Reibungsbremsen werden bereitgestellt, um sie gegebenenfalls anzuwenden, wie etwa wenn die Batterie einen hohen Ladezustand aufweist und eine weitere Nutzbremsung die Batterie überladen würde. Die Bremsung kann als Reaktion auf einen Sensor aktiviert werden, der einen Abstand zu einem Objekt vor dem Fahrzeug erkennt. Eine Fahrzeugsteuerung ist dazu programmiert, einen Nutzbrems- und einen Reibungsbremsbetrag während eines Bremsereignisses auf Grundlage eines Vergleichs zwischen einer regenerativen Drehmomentgrenze des Antriebsstrangs und einem gewünschten Bremsdrehmoments über das Bremsereignis hinweg automatisch zu steuern, um das Fahrzeug während des Bremsereignisses sicher abzubremsen.
