Es wird eine Beleuchtungseinrichtung (1) mit zumindest einem zur Erzeugung von Strahlung vorgesehenen Halbleiterbauelement (2), einem optischen Element (5) und einer Ansteuerschaltung (6) angegeben, wobei - das optische Element die im Betrieb des Halbleiterbauelements abgestrahlte Strahlung in ein zu beleuchtendes Sichtfeld (10) lenkt, - das Halbleiterbauelement eine Vielzahl von Pixeln erster Art (31) aufweist, die jeweils zur bereichsweisen Beleuchtung des Sichtfelds mit Strahlung im sichtbaren Spektralbereich vorgesehen sind; - das Halbleiterbauelement zumindest einen Infrarotpixel (4) aufweist, der zur zumindest bereichsweisen Beleuchtung des Sichtfelds mit Strahlung im infraroten Spektralbereich vorgesehen ist; und - die Pixel erster Art und der zumindest eine Infrarotpixel über die Ansteuerschaltung betreibbar sind. Weiterhin werden ein elektronisches Gerät (100) mit einer Beleuchtungseinrichtung und die Verwendung einer Beleuchtungseinrichtung angegeben.
