Abstract
(DE)

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung (10) und ein Verfahren zur Fehlerbehandlung in einem Drucker (12) oder Kopierer. Eine Vielzahl von Überwachungseinheiten (PU, PT) erfasst Fehlerzustände des Druckers (12) oder Kopierers und übermittelt diese einer Steuerung (CM). Mehrere nacheinander übermittelte Fehlerzustände werden in einem Speicher gespeichert und von der Steuerung (CM) bewertet. Die gespeicherten Fehlerzustände werden dabei mit vorgegebenen Fehlermustern verglichen, wobei zumindest eine Fehlerart ermittelt wird. Abhängig von der ermittelten Fehlerart werden weitere Schritte ausgeführt.
