Verfahren zur Behandlung einer Legierung aus Aluminium und Titan zur Verbesserung der Oxidationsbeständigkeit dieser Legierungen zwischen 800°C und 1100°C, wobei auf eine Oberfläche der Legierung eine Halogenverbindung aufgebracht wird, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass eine flüssige Lösung von Hydrogenfluorid auf die Oberfläche der Legierungen aufgebracht wird.
