(DE) Apparatur zur quantitativen thermogravimetrischen Charakterisierung der Korrosionsbeständigkeit von Werkstoffen in unterschiedlichen Atmosphären bei Temperaturen bis deutlich oberhalb von 1500°C. Durch einen Entlastungsmechanismus ist es möglich, die durch Korrosion hervorgerufene Massenänderung an der Probe von derjenigen am Wägegestänge zu separieren, wobei letztere insbesondere bei sehr hohen Temperaturen in zunehmendem Maße die Wägeergebnisse verfälschen würde. Zusätzlich kann bei geringfügigem Umbau über eine Messung der Kondensation flüchtiger Korrosionsprodukte der Probe im kälteren Bereich an einer Kondensationsplatte mit Hilfe der Mikrowaage die Abdampfrate an der Probe bestimmt werden.

Appts. for thermogravimetric characterisation of the corrosion resistance of materials includes a commercial micro balance (21) to record mass change readings at temps. > 1500 deg C. The influence of a reading distortion due to corrosive attack on the sample support and the weighing rod can be eliminated by a two stage weighing. The sample (4) can be lifted off of the interchangeable weighing rod (5) by a lifting mechanism (18), so that on the one hand the rod can be weighed with and on the other hand without the sample. After subtraction of the readings, the actual sample wt. can be recorded.
