本发明涉及一种光扩散膜及其制造方法、以及使用该光扩散膜的光扩散性偏振板、液晶显示装置,所述光扩散膜具备层叠在基材膜上且在透光性树脂中分散有透光性微粒的光扩散层,该透光性微粒包含重均粒径为0.5μm以上且小于6μm的第一透光性微粒和重均粒径为6μm以上且15μm以下的第二透光性微粒,第一透光性微粒的重均粒径与第二透光性微粒的重均粒径之差为2μm以上,光扩散层中的透光性微粒的含量相对于透光性树脂100重量份为22~60重量份,光扩散层的表面的中心线平均粗糙度Ra为0.2μm以下。
