(EN) The invention relates to a device (18) for monitoring a reinforcement wire of a tyre (14), including: a member (68, 70) for inducing a magnetic flux (P1, P2; P) in the wire (42a-b; 100; 102), a generally U-shaped holder (67) holding the induction member (68, 70) and comprising arms (82, 84) for conducting the magnetic flux (P) in the wire (42a-b; 100; 102), the arms defining an alignment direction of the device, and at least one member (74) for receiving the magnetic flux (P1, P2; P) flowing in the wire (42a-b; 100; 102) located between the arms (82, 84). The receiving member is sized so as to measure only the magnetic flux flowing in the wire (42a-b; 100; 102), wherein the alignment direction (18) is parallel to the wire (42a-b; 100; 102) when in operation.
