A 3D image processing method which can minimize the possibility of an undesired image being cut when a stereoscopic view-use integrated image is printed out or the like. A digital still camera (1) is used to be able to produce and record a stereoscopic view-use integrated image, which is made one sheet of image where a plurality of view-point images are arranged. First, left-view-point image data and right-view-point image data are stored in a memory by photographing repeated two times. Then, these two sheets of image data are laterally arranged to be formed into one sheet of image. This processing produces original stereoscopic view-use integrated image data. Padding areas (dummy areas) are respectively added to the top side and the bottom side of the original stereoscopic view-use integrated image data. That is, a processed image including the original stereoscopic view-use integrated image is produced.

本发明提供一种立体图像处理方法,使用数码相机(1)可生成并记录立体视用合并图像,该立体视用合并图像是多个视点图像并排而成的一个图像。首先,通过进行两次摄影,将左视点图像数据和右视点图像数据存储于存储器中。然后,将这两个图像数据沿横向并排而构成一个图像。通过进行该处理,得到原始的立体视用合并图像数据。对上述原始的立体视用合并图像数据的上侧及下侧附加填充区域(模拟区域)。即,生成内包所述原始的立体视用合并图像的加工图像。从而在将立体视用合并图像印出等时,能够极力地防止不期望的图像被截断的情形发生。
