(EN) A device and a method for continuously variable transmission, wherein a variable displacement pump (1) and two variable displacement motors (2, 3) are connected to each other through a closed circuit. A first drive gear (6) to a fourth drive gear (9) are fitted to the motor shafts (18, 19) of the variable displacement motors (2, 3) through clutches (13a, 13b) and clutches (14a, 14b). A first driven gear (10) meshed with the first drive gear (6) and the third drive gear (8) and a second driven gear meshed with the second drive gear (7) and the fourth drive gear (9) are fitted to an output shaft (4). The equivalent capacities of the variable displacement motors (2, 3) are differentiated from each other, and a control to zero these capacities is performed in the descending order of the equivalent capacities. When the capacity of the variable displacement motor is decreased, the gear ratio of the variable displacement motor with a capacity reduced to zero is changed to reduce the equivalent capacity, and the capacity is increased to the maximum one. Thus, since the gear ratio of continuously variable transmission can be increased, a speed increasing control by increased continuously variable transmission can be performed.

用闭路来连接可变容量型泵(1)与两个可变容量型马达(2、3)。在可变容量型马达(2、3)的各马达轴(18、19)上分别通过离合器(1 3a、13b)及离合器(14a、14b)安装有第一主动齿轮(6)~第四主动齿轮(9)。与第一主动齿轮(6)和第三主动齿轮(8)啮合的第一从动齿轮(10)以及与第二主动齿轮(7)和第四主动齿轮(9)啮合的第二从动齿轮安装在输出轴(4)上。使各可变容量型马达(2、3)的等价容量不同,按等价容量的大小顺序依次进行使其容量成为零容量的控制。此外,在使可变容量型马达的容量减小时,改变成为了零容量的可变容量型马达的变速比来减小等价容量,并使其容量增大至最大容量为止。由此,可提供一种可扩大无级变速的变速比、通过扩大无级变速来进行加速控制的无级变速装置及其无级变速方法。
