Abstract
(EN)
A two-cycle engine in which reductions in size and pollution are promoted. The two-cycle engine comprises a cylinder containing a piston so as to be able to reciprocate, a scavenging gas storage chamber covering the lower opening of the cylinder under an enclosed state, an intake section provided in the scavenging gas storage chamber, a scavenging channel allowing the scavenging gas storage chamber to communicate with the cylinder, a connecting rod coupled with the piston and penetrating the scavenging gas storage chamber, a crank mechanism for reciprocating the connecting rod linearly, and a seal portion arranged in an insertion hole for passing the connecting rod in the scavenging gas storage chamber and sealing the scavenging gas storage chamber hermetically while allowing linear reciprocation of the connecting rod. The intake section has a structure for taking outside air into the scavenging gas storage chamber and may be provided with a mechanism for spraying fuel onto a cylinder head.
