A method of manufacturing a molding containing a core by using a compression molding means with a vertical double-structured pestle, comprising steps for supplying and filling a core molding material and an outer layer molding material, a step for compression-molding the core molding material and/or the outer layer molding material, and a step for compression-molding the complete molding containing the core. In the method, the step for supplying and filling the outer layer molding material after the step for supplying and filling the core molding material is performed until the tip of a lower central pestle is brought into the projected state from the tip of a lower outer pestle, and the step for compression-molding the complete molding is performed with the tip of the lower central pestle aligned with the tip of the lower outer pestle. Thus, such an effect that the strength of the outer layer of the side face portion of the molding is increased and/or such an effect that the outer layer molding material supplied and filled after the core molding material supplying and filling step is passed to the lower side of a temporary core molding and a nucleated molding can be manufactured in two times of molding material supplying and filling step can be expected by this manufacturing method.
