Abstract
(EN) Systems and methods for measuring an angle between a first portion of a moving object and a second portion of the moving object are disclosed. The method includes generating a point cloud based on information gathered from a rangefinder and including a plurality of points. The plurality of points represents a relative position of a front edge of the second portion with respect to the first portion. An angle of the second portion relative to the first portion is calculated based on the point cloud. A rangefinder is mounted to the first portion or the second portion.
