The method is applied to the terminal equipment with cameras, the terminal equipment comprises at least two cameras, focal lengths shot by the cameras are different, and the method comprises the following steps: when a camera triggering operation is detected, starting each camera, controlling each camera to respectively pick up image information, and forming a camera preview interface; when a photographing triggering operation is detected, generating a picture according to the camera preview interface; and preserving the picture. The invention further discloses terminal equipment and a computer readable storage medium. The picture shot by the terminal equipment is formed by combining the image information of the different focal segmentsacquired by the plurality of cameras at the same time, so that the foreground and background definition of the picture and the three-dimensional effect of the image in the picture are improved, and the shooting imaging effect is good.
