The invention discloses a detection circuit, a line recognition device and a driving method. The detection circuit comprises a photosensitive element, a switch sub-circuit and a charge release sub-circuit. The photosensitive element is electrically connected with the switch sub-circuit and the charge release sub-circuit, and is configured to convert a received optical signal into an electric signal. The switch sub-circuit is configured to output an electric signal, and the charge release sub-circuit is configured to release charges in the photosensitive element after the switch sub-circuit outputs the electric signal. According to the detection circuit, charges accumulated in the photosensitive element are released, so that the grain recognition device adopting the detection circuit can avoid the problem of ghost shadows, and the grain recognition precision can be improved.
