The vertical air conditionerindoor unit is characterized in that a sheet metal part comprises a first sheet metal part body and a second sheet metal part body which are connected with each other, wherein the downward projectionof the first sheet metal part body falls into a water pan, and a notch is formed in the position, close to the bottom end of the first sheet metal part body, of the second sheet metal part body. According to the vertical air conditioner indoor unit and the air conditioner with the same, the notch is formed in the position, close to the bottom end of the first sheet metal part body, of the secondsheet metal part body, so that after condensation occurs on the first sheet metal part body, water flow can be cut off through the notch, the condensation flows into the water pan from the first sheetmetal part body and is prevented from flowing into the second sheet metal part body from the joint between the first sheet metal part body and the second sheet metal part body, and then the situationthat the condensation flows down from the second sheet metal part body and flows onto the floor is avoided; and the characteristics of being simple in structure and low in machining difficulty are achieved.
