The application provides a quantum dot LED and a method of fabricating the same. The LED comprises the following parts: a light emitting component; a first substrate, located on the light emitting component, wherein the first substrate comprises a first recess, and is made of sapphire; a quantum dot layer, located within the first recess; and a barrier layer, located on the quantum dot layer. Theapplication uses the sapphire material as the integrally formed first substrate, so that the bottom surface of the first substrate can completely block water and oxygen, thereby ensuring the reliability of long-term use of the quantum dot LED, and improving the service life of the quantum dot LED.

本申请提出了一种量子点LED及其制作方法,包括发光组件;位于所述发光组件上的第一衬底,所述第一衬底包括一第一凹槽;所述第一衬底的材料为蓝宝石;位于所述第一凹槽内的量子点层;位于所述量子点层上的阻隔层。本申请通过使用蓝宝石材料作为一体成型的第一衬底,使得该第一衬底的底面能完全的隔绝水氧气,保证了量子点LED长期使用的可靠性,提高了量子点LED的使用寿命。
