The invention provides a display panel and a preparation method thereof. The display panel comprises sub-pixel units; at least part of the sub-pixel units comprise exciting light sources, target lightconversion layers and target light transmission layers; the exciting light sources are used for producing exciting light; the target light conversion layers are arranged in the light emitting directions of the exciting light sources and are used for converting the exciting light into target light; the target light transmission layers are arranged in the light emitting directions of the target light conversion layers and are used for the target light produced by the target light conversion layers to transmit and reflecting the exciting light which transmits through the target light conversionlayers; the target light transmission layers are arranged on the target light conversion layers, so that only the target light of the target light conversion layers transmits and the exciting light isreflected; and therefore, the purity of the target light emitted from the sub-pixel units is enhanced.
