The invention provides a differential speed reducer. The differential speed reducer mainly achieves the speed reducing and torque lifting functions of the speed reducer through "big-small gears" in the differential speed reducer. The "big-small gears" are one big gear and one small gear which are connected with each other, the big gear is used to bite a fixing part, the small gear is used to bitea moving part, the operation of the "differential speed reducer" is achieved through the fact that the gear teeth member of the big gear and that of the small gear are different while the rotation numbers of the big gear and that of the small gear are the same. Using the principle, the "differential speed reducer" with the principle can be designed with a set of or a plurality of sets of "big-small gears", or can also be designed with a small gear biting the fixing part and a big gear biting the moving part according to conditions.
