[In the formula, M1 denotes an iridium atom or the like. n1 denotes an integer of 1 or higher, n2 denotes an integer of 0 or higher, and the value of n1+n2 is 2 or 3. E1 and E2 each denote a carbon atom or a nitrogen atom. Ring R1 denotes a 5-membered aromatic heterocyclic ring, and ringR2 denotes an aromatic hydrocarbon ring or the like. A1-G1-A2 denotes an anionic bidentate ligand. A1 and A2 each denote a nitrogen atom or the like. G1 denotes a single bond or the like.].
