(EN) An optical connector equipped with a core block, a flexible circuit board, an optical element array, a drive circuit unit, and a housing. The core block has multiple surfaces. The flexible circuit board has an external connection terminal unit, a first region positioned on the first surface among the multiple surfaces of the core block, and a second region positioned on the second surface thereof.The optical element array is mounted on the first region of the flexible circuit board, and is configured by arranging a plurality of optical elements for transmitting and/or a plurality of optical elements for receiving. The drive circuit unit is mounted on the second region of the flexible circuit board, and drives the optical element array. The housing houses the core block, the optical element array and the drive circuit unit in a manner such that the external connection terminal unit of the flexible circuit board is positioned outside the housing.
