能够通过美术馆的展示品等被要求与自然光同样的高彩色再现性的各种对象物的照明光源,考虑地域差、时间差地再现照射到地球上的太阳光,并且将能够放射担心对绘画等造成不良影响的紫外至蓝色发光成分被降低了的白色光的照明装置具体化。使用由紫外至紫色发光LED和荧光体的组合构成的至少4种白色光源,通过调节所使用的荧光体的材料种类、白色光源的混合比,来连续地再现特定季节、特定地域的太阳光的一日的变化,并且再现通过装置构造的研究而照顾到安全方面等的白色光。
