(EN) An adaptor (10) and a charge control method, the adaptor (10) comprising: a power conversion unit (11), for converting inputted alternating current power to obtain the output voltage and the output current of the adaptor (10), the output current of the adaptor (10) being the current of a first pulse waveform; a sampling and holding unit (12), connected to the power conversion unit (11), when the sampling and holding unit (12) is in a sampling state, the sampling and holding unit (12) being used for sampling the current of the first pulse waveform, and when the sampling and holding unit (12) isin a holding state, the sampling and holding unit (12) being used for holding the peak value of the current of the first pulse waveform; and a current collection control unit (13), connected to the sampling and holding unit (12), being used for determining whether the sampling and holding unit (12) is in the holding sate, and collecting the peak value of the current of the first pulse waveform held by the sampling and holding unit (12) if it is determined that the sampling and holding unit (12) is in the holding state. The adaptor (10) can improve the service life of the battery.
