Abstract
(EN) The invention relates to a device (1) for tensioning anchor chains, in particular mooring legs (2) of off-shore vessels (3) and installations, comprising a frame (5) carrying connectors (10, 11, 13) for holding together lower and upper portions (2B, 2A) of the chain (2) to be tensioned. The frame (5) further carries a tensioning mechanism (7) for pulling at least one portion of the chain (2A, 2B) towards the other portion of the chain (2A, 2B) while the device (1) is submerged.
