Abstract

Dans un décodeur Reed-Solomon, les coefficients d'un polynôme localisateur d'erreurs (.sigma.u) sont calculés en fonction des valeurs de 2t syndromes (S i). Pour chaque coefficient, il est prévu une cellule de calcul (64u) comportant deux circuits multiplieurs, deux registres pour stocker un coefficient du polynôme localisateur et un coefficient d'un polynôme intermédiaire associé, et des moyens pour mettre à jour les valeurs de ces coefficients dans leurs registres respectifs. L'équation-clé est résolue en 2t itérations comportant chacune une première phase pour le calcul d'un écart de prédiction (.DELTA.k) et une seconde phase pour la mise à jour des coefficients.
