Abstract

Disclosed is a method for restoring a downhole image based on a reverse ray tracing technology, comprising the following steps: setting a downhole camera as a light source emission point, and emitting light rays to a downhole scene; recording all intersections between all light rays and a downhole object, and calculating an intersection, in the intersections, that is closest to a viewpoint; calculating directions of light rays newly generated after the light rays are reflected and refracted at the intersections; respectively tracing the newly generated light rays; recording light rays, from a strong light source emitted at the camera, irradiated on a viewing plane after being reflected or refracted for three times, and calculating light intensities of the light rays; converting the light intensities into pixel values by means of a CCD light sensing element of the camera; and eliminating, in an image finally presented in the viewing plane, the pixel values of the strong light emitted by the camera to obtain an image for which the effect of the strong light source is eliminated. The present invention can effectively eliminate the interference of a strong light source and restore a downhole image, thereby ensuring smooth downhole work and life safety of operators.
