Title
(EN) Method and devices for testing sms functionality of fixed network telephones and for testing smsc functionality for the fixed network
Abstract
(EN)
The invention relates to a method for testing the SMS functionality of fixed network telephones, according to which an SMS communication is sent between at least one fixed network telephone and a computer. The computer is configured in such a way that it adopts the role of a short message service centre (SMSC) during the communication and at least partially records the communication progress for evaluation purposes. The invention also relates to a method for testing short message service centre (SMSC) functionality in a fixed network, according to which an SMS communication is sent between an SMSC and a computer. The computer is configured in such a way that it adopts the role of a terminal during the SMS communication and at least partially records the communication progress for evaluation purposes.
