Abstract
(EN)
The invention concerns a method and a production line for continuous production of box-section and frame structures. According to the invention, the ends of blanks are worked in a first machining unit (2) for the joint portions of a finger joint and the worked blanks are joined in a gluing press (3) unit into stock (12) of continuous length. The stock (12) of continuous length is cut to pieces of predetermined length in the order required in the assembly of said structures. The pieces are worked in said order in a second machining unit (6) to form the joint portions necessary in the assembly of said structures, after which the pieces are shaped in a third machining unit (7) and fed in said proper order to an assembly unit, where they are joined into desired structures. The production line according to the invention makes it possible to automate the production process of box-section and frame structures.
