Abstract
(EN)

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnet having a compact design for imaging a specific part of a human body such as the brain.

SOLUTION: This magnetic resonance imaging magnet 110 includes first and second coil form segments 112, 120 having different diameters and being longitudinally proximate to each other. First and second superconductive coils 126, 132 are wound respectively around the first and second coil form segments. A first spacer ring 138 is attached to the first coil form segment 112 and abuts longitudinally on the side face 128 of the first superconductive coil 126 and a second spacer ring 140 circumferentially surrounds the second coil form segment 120, is attached to the second coil form segment 120, and about longitudinally on the side face 134 of the second superconductive coil 132.
