(EN) A special profile display panel easily designed and produced and having a good appearance of a profile section of a display area (151). The display panel (103) has the display area (151) where pixels each composed of subpixels are arranged and wirings are provided along the borders of the subpixels. The pixels include profile forming pixels (361) located in the profile section of the display area (151). The subpixels (171R, 171G, 171B) constituting each profile forming pixel (361) have the same aperture area. At least the profile line of the aperture area of a picture frame area (152) is parallel to the extension of one of the wirings. The aperture area of each profile forming pixel (361) is smaller than those of the pixels (362) inside the profile section of the display area (151).
