Field of the Invention

Embodiments of the invention generally relate to the devices which connect and operate universally by multi way learning.

Background of the Invention

Currently available devices or appliances namely television (TV) air condition(AC) , geysers, heaters, refrigerators, home entertainment systems, lifestyle products etc. communicate with respective product manufacturers remote controls which generally operate in line of sight technologies such as infrared (IR). For few products universal infrared remotes are available, but it operate only on certain products. Therefore, there is a need for whole perception on the device operation and its control. Devices will act as universal learning products to accept control and appropriate parameter signals from any of the radio frequency - RF (wireless) band viz, infra red (IR), Bluetooth, ISM band, state or country approved electromagnetic frequency band with technologies like blue tooth, zigbee, wifi, wimax and all other possible and available technologies. All these device connect and operate universally may have built in processing unit, trans-band converter, trans technology converters, built in or external sensors, Tran receiver, computing, memory units and self-learning mechanism devices. These universally communicating devices connect directly to the controlling device or wired or wireless or internet or any other available communication technologies. These communications are two ways and it, will be direct or learning based with the controlling device.

Summary of the Invention

Embodiments of the invention related to a system comprising trans-receiver, trans-band converter, trans- technology converter, a processing unit and control unit coupled to the device or appliances. In few cases the coupling could be direct. In few cases either it may be through trans band converter or through trans wireless technologies or in few

cases with both, the trans-receiver further coupled to a plurality of devices, and the receiver is configured to receive a signal from the transmitter and the signal received by the receiver is appropriately decoded to control at least one of a plurality of devices coupled to the receiver.

FIG. 1 is diagram illustrating an exemplary embodiment of devices connects and operate universally by any of the device in accordance with the invention.

Detailed Description

Principles of the present invention include a systematic approach to automatically control devices of any manufacturer and technology at a specified location through any mode of communication.

Reference is not made to Fig. 1, which illustrates an exemplary embodiment [100] of a universal learning device having a built in transmitter or trans-receiver, sensor, power backup, computing device with peripherals coupled directly or through repeaters [300] or any communication media [400] to a device or appliance [200]. Learning device [100] could be any controlling device; it will send signals in any of the electromagnetic frequency spectrum namely radio frequency, GSM or wireless or microwave or audio, video or multimedia or internet or combination thereof. Remote [100] and device/appliances [200] are also share and display other parameters, ( e.g. temperature and its variation, pressure, auto set, moisture level, humidity, power usage, varying speed, intensity,...) with the device other than just on and off status.

It should be well understood by one skilled in the art that learning device 100 may consist of multiple learning devices coupled to a single device or appliances 200 or coupled to multiple devices 200.

In one of the embodiment, the signal from Learning device [100] will be generated by pressing the button or touch screen, mechanical pad or human interface or voice recognition or gesture recognition or motion control by automatic generation or by acknowledging the learning based universal device/appliances or it could be automatically set to operate on particular day of the time or in periodic intervals of time.

In one of the embodiment, device [200] and universal learning device [100] connects directly or through signal boosters or repeaters [300] or wired or wireless or internet [400] or combination thereof.

In one of the embodiment, signals from the universal learning device [100] to appliance [200] may have encrypted and decrypted signal.

In one of the embodiment, device [200] could be any universal learning product or appliance, which will send initial few signals to remote [100] to check its wireless operating frequency and technology by two way learning mechanism.

In one of the embodiment, device /appliance [200] will send signals in any of the electromagnetic frequency spectrum in any wireless technologies. In few cases learning device [100] and device [200] will be operating in multiple frequency and technologies.

In one of the embodiment, current device/appliance [200] operational and controlling statuses are displayed either on remote [100] or device [200] or on both or at intermediate display destinations. This status information will be transmitted live to user at any location through wired or wireless or internet or any other medium of communication in bidirectional communication mode.

In one of the embodiment, communication between device[200] and remote [100] is two way, so that status, power consumption and other parameter of the device may be send or acknowledged at any point of time either through sending command or through predefined preset at any part of the product. Device and Remote may 1 communicate

through complete wired or wireless or partial wireless coupling. In few cases remote communicate with multiple receivers and vice versa.

In one of the embodiment, the device [200] could be of any electrical device with any voltage and power ratings suits for any global standards and adoption.

In one of the embodiment, the device [200] could be any universal learning product or appliance. Device or appliance [200] will send initial few signals to remote [100] to check its wireless operating frequency and technology by two way learning mechanism.

In one of the embodiment, device [200] is connected to single appliance or multiple appliances with single universal learning module or few or all have built in learning mechanism.

In a further embodiment, trans-band, trans-frequency converters, computing units and learning mechanisms are built in the device [200] or in few cases these will be connected externally to the device/appliance [200] in any of the connecting methods.

In one embodiment, device [200] may be taking input from built in sensors or from externally connected sensors.

In one embodiment, any of the communication signal to be ported to any device to make accessible locally and globally with all available technologies and ports.

In a further embodiment, depending on its operation all or few of the devices [200] are dust proof, water resistant and wet finger tracking.

In a further embodiment, device could be any appliances in home or office, or day to activities or it could be even traffic signal devices or any. These devices [200] are connected directly or by any of the possible networks [400]

Advantages of the invention are that such a mechanism is easy to user and affordable in terms of cost and results in at least about 315 savings.
