PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the distance at which approaching between a robot and an operator can be detected, according to a simple constitution not using floor surface electrodes, for a human protection device utilizing an electric field system of the cooperative robot.

SOLUTION: A human protection device of a robot has a simple constitution comprised of: a wearable device 3 which is fitted to a jacket 15 of an operator 2 working in the periphery of a robot 1, and imparts an AC electric field in the vicinity of the body surface of the operator 2; a detection electrode 4 provided on the robot 1; and a measuring instrument 5 for measuring a voltage of the detection electrode 4. In the human protection device, when the robot 1 and the operator 2 approach each other and the voltage of the detection electrode 4 increases, a control signal according to a voltage value measured by the measuring instrument 5 is sent to a controller 6 of the robot 1, and the robot 1 is caused to perform an operation for human protection on the basis of the control signal received by the controller 6. In this constitution, the longest detection distance can be made longer than the distance achieved with conventional human body communication, since the wearable device 3 increases an electrified state of a human body.

【課題】協働ロボットの電界方式を利用した対人保護装置において、床面電極を用いない簡単な構成で、ロボットと作業者との接近を検知できる距離を長くする。
【解決手段】ロボット1の周囲で作業する作業者2の上衣15に装着され、その作業者2の体表面近傍に交流電界を付与するウェアラブル装置3と、ロボット1に設けられる検知電極4と、検知電極4の電圧を計測する計測器5とからなる簡単な構成で、ロボット1と作業者2とが接近して検知電極4の電圧が高くなると、計測器5が計測した電圧値に応じた制御信号をロボット1の制御器6に送り、制御器6が受信した制御信号に基づいてロボット1に対人保護のための動作を行わせるようにした。この構成では、ウェアラブル装置3が人体の帯電状態を大きくするので、従来の人体通信を用いたものよりも最長検知距離を長くすることができる。
