Abstract

(EN) A rock drill bit sharpening system is disclosed, designed to enhance torque and power efficiency for sharpening carbide button inserts, including those with polycrystalline diamond (PCD) enhancements. The system integrates an outrunner motor and a VESC motor controller to address the technical problem of maintaining performance in compact applications. The control system communicates with the VESC motor controller to adjust operational parameters, offering flexibility with power sources ranging from 24-48 VDC or 100-260 VAC. The system includes an RFID reader for precision control and Wi-Fi connectivity for remote monitoring. This system is particularly useful for mobile and compact sharpening applications, providing performance levels typically associated with larger machines. The resharpening machine features a modular design for easy component replacement, enhancing the system's adaptability and efficiency in various operational environments.

(FR) L'invention concerne un système d'affûtage de trépan de forage de roche, conçu pour améliorer le couple et l'efficacité de puissance pour affûter des inserts de bouton en carbure, y compris ceux ayant des améliorations de diamant polycristallin (PCD). Le système intègre un moteur à rotor externe et un dispositif de commande de moteur VESC pour résoudre le problème technique de maintien des performances dans des applications compactes. Le système de commande communique avec le dispositif de commande de moteur VESC pour régler des paramètres de fonctionnement, offrant une flexibilité avec des sources d'alimentation allant de 24 à 48 VDC ou 100 à 260 VAC. Le système comprend un lecteur RFID pour une commande de précision et une connectivité Wi-Fi pour une surveillance à distance.
