Abstract

(EN) An insert is arranged for mounting in a cyclone separator having a cyclone separating chamber and at least one inlet tube introducing flow tangentially into the chamber. The insert has an insert body for mounting within an upper portion of the cyclone separating chamber and a flow passage for each inlet tube in which the flow passage extends downwardly through the insert body from an inlet opening aligned with the inlet tube to a discharge opening of the flow passage arranged for directing the flow helically into the cyclone chamber below. The cyclone incoming flow characteristics can thus be adjusted by selecting an insert with desired flow passage characteristics. When there are two inlet tubes of different size, the cyclone separating chamber is operable with one or both of the inlet tubes being opened to receive the incoming flow at 3 distinct speeds depending upon which inlet tubes are active.

(FR) Un insert est conçu pour être installé dans un séparateur à cyclone comportant une chambre de séparation à cyclone et au moins un tube d'entrée qui introduit un écoulement de manière tangentielle dans la chambre. L'insert comporte un corps d'insert destiné à être installé à l'intérieur d'une partie supérieure de la chambre de séparation à cyclone et un passage d'écoulement pour chaque tube d'entrée, le passage d'écoulement s'étendant vers le bas à travers le corps d'insert à partir d'une ouverture d'entrée alignée avec le tube d'entrée et vers une ouverture d'évacuation du passage d'écoulement qui est conçue pour diriger l'écoulement de manière hélicoïdale dans la chambre à cyclone située sous elle. Les caractéristiques de l'écoulement cyclonique entrant peuvent ainsi être ajustées par sélection d'un insert ayant des caractéristiques de passage d'écoulement souhaitées. Lorsqu'il y a deux tubes d'entrée de tailles différentes, la chambre de séparation à cyclone peut fonctionner en ouvrant l'un des tubes d'entrée ou en ouvrant les deux tubes d'entrée, de façon à recevoir le flux entrant à 3 vitesses distinctes en fonction des tubes d'entrée qui sont actifs.
