This invention provides an electrophotographic photoreceptor, which can meet demands involved in a size reduction and an increased speed of copying machines and printers, that is, demands for a reduction in diameter of a photoreceptor and a high-peripheral speed process, and, at the same time, can realize high sensitivity even in a long wavelength range, is free from a deterioration in electric characteristics even after repeated use, and is highly stable. The electrophotographic photoreceptor comprises an electroconductive support and a photosensitive layer stacked on the electroconductive support, the photosensitive layer comprising at least a charge generating agent, a charge transfer agent, and a binder resin. The electrophotographic photoreceptor is characterized in that the charge generating agent is oxytitanium phthalocyanine, the oxytitanium phthalocyanine has a maximum peak at a Bragg angle (2&thetas; ± 0.2º) of 27.2º in an X-ray diffraction spectrum using CuK&agr; as a radiation source, and the charge transfer agent contains a compound represented by the following formula.

La présente invention concerne un photorécepteur électrophotographique, qui peut répondre aux exigences impliquées par une réduction de taille et la vitesse accrue des photocopieuses et des imprimantes, c'est-à-dire les exigences d'une réduction de diamètre d'un photorécepteur et de traitement à grande vitesse périphérique, et, en même temps, peut atteindre une sensibilité élevée même dans une grande plage de longueurs d'ondes, ne souffre pas de détérioration de ses caractéristiques électriques même après un usage répété, et présente une grande stabilité. Le photorécepteur électrophotographique comprend un support électroconducteur et une couche photosensible empilée sur le support électroconducteur, la couche photosensible comprenant au moins un agent générateur de charges, un agent de transfert de charges et une résine liante.
