I/We Claim:

1. A system for energy management of HVAC equipment (100) comprises of:

a. a plurality of distributed sensors (112) for sensing a set of parameters including environmental information, thermal zone information, energy consumption information and operational parameter information from the building;

b. a network (138) for connecting the sensors (112);

c. a remote server (120A) or an on-premise server (120B) for collecting and storing the sensed values of the set of parameters through the network (138);

d. a platform (122) configured for processing the sensed values of the set of parameters and computing control strategies, wherein the platform (122) resides in the remote server (120A) and on-premise server (120B) and performs the following actions:

i. detects irregularities of the HVAC equipment;

ii. evaluates atleast one control strategy for the HVAC equipment; and

iii. selects one or more control strategies for execution simultaneously.

2. The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the sensors (112) include environmental sensors (112A), energy consumption sensors (112B) and operational parameters sensors (112C).

3. The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the sensors (112) further include one or more field device sensors (112D).

4. The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the sensors (112) are connected to connecting nodes (114) to collect information from the sensors (112).

5. The system as claimed in claim 4, wherein the connecting nodes (114) are connected to a base station (116) which communicates with the remote server (120A) via the network (138).

6. The system as claimed in claim 5, wherein the base station (116) includes the platform

(122) for collecting, storing, and processing the set of parameters from the sensors (112) and computing an immediate control action.

7. The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the platform (122) includes a physics based simulation model (122A) and a machine learning model (122B) for processing the parameters.

8. A method for improving energy management of HVAC equipment (100), comprising the steps of:

a. collecting sensed values of a set of parameters including environmental information, energy consumption information, and operational parameter information from a plurality of distributed sensors (112);

b. connecting the sensors (112) through a network (138) for transmitting the collected sensed values of the set of parameters;

c. storing the collected sensed values of the set of parameters from the sensors (112) at a remote server (120A) or on-premise server (120B);

d. processing the stored sensed values of the set of parameters in a platform (122) and computing control strategies for the HVAC equipment; and

e. outputting and executing control parameters for the HVAC equipment.

9. The method as claimed in claim 8, wherein the method is configured for detecting irregularities in the collected parameters of the HVAC equipment.

10. The method as claimed in claim 9, wherein the detected irregularities are displayed in a dashboard display (134).
